Technical Rider
PNCTM is a multimedia interactive installation that reanimates historical diaslides using AI and generative tools, creating a reflective dialogue about the impermanence and malleability of memory. The installation features three frame boxes with integrated screens displaying dynamic animations beneath historical slides, enhanced by interactive magnifying lenses and an immersive ambient soundtrack.
Each frame box stands on a small pedestal and consists of a curated archive diaslide overlaid on a compact high-definition screen, with a media player and a magnifying glass allowing individual perception of the visual story. The audiovisual content employs generative AI techniques based on the original diaslide content and their interpretation, along with audio and video processing algorithms. The installation presents a 3-minute audiovisual composition running in a loop in each frame box, with soft sound textures aimed to create an ASMR effect and immerse the visitor.
Dimensions / Duration
- Each frame box on a stand: 35 x 35 x 120 cm
- Total installation size: 250 x 35 x 120 cm
- Duration of each video: 3 minutes, cyclical
- Packed dimensions: 60 x 40 x 40 cm Eurobox, mass approx. 15 kg including disassembled stands
Spatial Requirements
- Minimum room size: 350 x 250 cm (approx. 8 m2) to accommodate all frame boxes
- Alternative arrangements for non-standard rooms are possible but subject to discussion
- Preferred space: a separated and enclosed room is highly recommended for an intimate and focused interaction
- Lighting: the room should be completely dark, with low-brightness red artificial light and a dark curtain (e.g. black Molton) at the entrance or another light trap
- Wall colors: winter white (RAL 0009000) or compatible shades that harmonize with the red light
- Environmental conditions: the space should be free from high humidity, dirt, and dust to ensure the operation of 12v non-waterproof electronic equipment connected to a 220v power supply
Technical Requirements (Provided by Exhibition / Venue)
- Mains power: 220v / 50hz / max 3A, Schuko plug system
- Power extension in dark color with at least 4 plugs
- 3 plugs are needed for 12v 3A power adapters, 1 for optional light source
- Maximum distance of plugs from artwork is 2 m
Components Provided by the Artist
- 3 photoboxes, each containing:

Sound
The artwork includes a soft sound composition played through small speakers integrated into the HD screens. It requires its own acoustic space to avoid interference from other artworks. Headphones or additional speakers are not suitable. The sound may interfere with nearby silent artworks.
Lighting
- Red light sources (LED or white with red filter) can be used on location
- Existing light can be adapted subject to prior discussion
- Red wall washers are recommended
- Positioning of light sources should avoid creating strong reflections on the glossy surface of the photoboxes
