IBSIC / quick intro

Slava Romanov

Media artist and creative technologist building immersive systems, installations, and performative visual tools.

I work across real-time media, spatial setups, interaction, and production logic, translating artistic ideas into systems people can actually experience on site.

  • TouchDesigner
  • Python
  • immersive systems
  • depth cameras
  • point clouds
  • AV performance
  • projection mapping
  • AI-assisted visuals

Choose your angle

Three entry points, one practice.

Studios & institutions

I can offer: multimedia system design, prototyping, technical integration, and on-site problem solving.

I’m looking for: studio roles, commissioned work, and long-form collaborations on immersive or spatial projects.

Why relevant: I work comfortably between concept, implementation, and production reality.

Festivals & curators

I can offer: installation and performative works with a strong technical backbone and clear artistic framing.

I’m looking for: exhibitions, commissions, residencies, and presentation contexts for site-responsive media work.

Why relevant: the work connects embodied experience, real-time systems, and a research-driven artistic thread.

Artists & collaborators

I can offer: development support for interactive visuals, sensors, stage logic, and installation workflows.

I’m looking for: collaborations where technology is part of the artistic language, not just the toolset.

Why relevant: I like working inside mixed teams and translating between aesthetic goals and technical constraints.

Selected directions

Two minutes, three relevant directions.

Immersive systems for clients and institutions

I See Time

Physical + digital installations

PNCTM / Šūtum

Installation work where physical media, embodied viewing, sensors, light, and digital transformation are composed as one spatial experience.

  • installation thinking
  • embodied interaction
  • physical media + digital logic
  • sensors
  • light
  • exhibition-ready work

How I contribute

Useful when the work needs both intent and execution.

multimedia systems & interfaces

real-time prototyping and integration

spatial / installation development

interactive performance workflows

technical production and on-site setup

bridging concept, tech, and delivery

What I help solve

Framing the value in project terms.

Turning an idea into a working immersive system

From rough concept to functional setup, with enough structure to survive real production conditions.

Bridging artistic intent and technical execution

Translating between artistic direction, technical constraints, and what can actually be built in time.

Building interaction for installations and performances

Sensor logic, spatial behavior, visual feedback, and performative responsiveness.

Integrating media, control, and physical setup on site

Making digital systems behave reliably inside venues, exhibition spaces, and temporary architectures.

Prototyping under tight timelines

Fast iteration without losing the conceptual thread or the practical delivery path.

Currently

Based in Germany, building the next chapter.

Based in Germany.

Recently completed an MA.

Open to studio roles, freelance collaboration, and festival opportunities.

Especially interested in immersive systems, performative media, and site-specific work.

Ongoing inquiry

What remains after a project ends?

Alongside immersive systems and media art, I keep returning to the afterlife of creative work: what remains, what disappears, and how traces of production become material for future practice.

I’m interested in how memory, language, and reflection reshape a project once the event, installation, or performance is over.
